    How Urea Affects Earthworms  ?

Earthworms are very helpful for farming. They make the soil soft, mix it well, and help plants grow better. But when we use too much chemical fertilizer like urea, it can harm earthworms.

    What is Urea?
Urea is a white powder that gives nitrogen to plants. Farmers use it to make crops grow faster and greener.

How Urea Can Harm Earthworms ?

    1. Too Much is Dangerous – If urea is used in large amounts, it can burn the earthworms’ skin or even kill them.

    2. Soil Becomes Acidic – Using urea again and again can make the soil sour (acidic). Earthworms don’t like sour soil – it hurts them.

    3. Less Food for Earthworms – Urea breaks down the food in the soil very fast. This means earthworms may have less to eat.

    4. Worms Run Away – Earthworms can sense danger. If there is too much urea, they may leave the area.

    What Can Farmers Do ?

    Use urea in small amounts

Mix it with compost or organic manure

Try using it only when needed, not too often
